We will guide you from there.
Four Pillars
One Standard of Care
Patients and families deserve dignity, clarity, comfort and protection during one of life's most vulnerable moments. Every service we provide, every caregiver we send, every decision we make ladders back to this — four pillars that define how we care.
Clinical Confidence
Behind every patient is a team of hospice-experienced physicians, skilled nurses and specialist clinicians who bring specialized clinical experience directly to the patient's home. Advanced symptom management, respiratory care, wound care and medication coordination — handled with the depth of a dedicated clinical team and the calm of people who have done this work thousands of times.
We hold Medicare certification, CDPH licensure and ACHC accreditation as our foundation. From there, we build a higher standard of guidance, comfort and accountability — because families deserve more than basic compliance.
Guided Presence
Families navigating end-of-life care face a cascade of decisions they were never trained for, while holding the people they love most. We stand with you in the middle of that.
Our social workers, chaplains and bereavement counselors offer guidance that is both practical and deeply human — coordinating care transitions, easing difficult conversations, holding the space when words are still forming. Every question answered. Every step explained. Always on your time.
Whole-Person Comfort
The body and the spirit arrive together at the end of life. We offer integrative modalities — not as amenities, but as a considered extension of care — because we have seen, in patient after patient, what music does when medication reaches its limit.
Music therapy, massage, reiki, aromatherapy, pet therapy, audiology, holistic medicine, end-of-life doula support and sound bath sessions with Tibetan and crystal bowls — offered alongside the clinical care plan, at no expense to families.
Compliance-Led Care
Hospice families place deep trust in the people caring for their loved one. We honor that trust with the rigor of an agency that understands what is at stake.
Our care protocols and billing practices are built around CMS Conditions of Participation and monitored continuously. ACHC accreditation reflects independent, third-party verification of our standards. Most Medicare-covered hospice services have little to no out-of-pocket cost. Our team verifies coverage and handles all insurance coordination directly.

One Standard of Care
Each Pillar — each essential, together complete. Like the stone we are named for, what forms slowly and with
care holds the most light.
What families can count on.
Hospice is one of the most complete benefits in all of American healthcare.
Here’s what that means for your family — in plain, simple numbers.
no cost
The First 48 Hours
From the moment you call, a clear sequence begins. Federal Conditions of Participation set the standard; we treat it as a promise to your family.
Your call is answered
A member of our team — a person, any hour of day or night — listens, answers your first questions and begins coordinating care. You reach a real person on the first call, any hour of the day or night.
Eligibility and coverage confirmed
Our admissions team verifies Medicare, Medi-Cal or private coverage — usually the same day — and confirms there will be no surprise costs for covered services.
Admission and first visit
Same-day admission when clinically appropriate. A registered nurse conducts the initial assessment in the patient's home and the care plan begins to take shape.
The full team engages
Within the first 48 hours the interdisciplinary team — physician oversight, nursing, social work, spiritual care and aide support — is established, and Medications, equipment and supplies are coordinated and delivered based on the patient's clinical needs.
Integrative therapies — available when appropriate.
Physical, occupational and speech therapy along with every integrative therapy below, are provided at no additional expense to your family. It is part of our ongoing commitment to caring for the whole person,
mind, body and spirit.
Explore Sound as Comfort Below

A board-certified music therapist brings live music chosen for the patient's own history and preferences. Many families report softer moments, reduced distress and, at times, recognition even in advanced cognitive decline.
Many families describe the music therapy visit as the moment they saw their loved one return to themselves, however briefly.

Gentle, adaptive massage supports comfort and circulation, carefully modified for each patient's physical condition and comfort level. A quiet, restorative experience many describe as the most soothing part of their week.

A gentle, non-invasive practice offered for relaxation and comfort. Reiki sessions are quiet and unhurried — an opportunity for the patient to rest and receive care without any demand.

Carefully selected botanical essences support comfort and ease distress, integrated into the care environment with the patient's own preferences and sensitivities as the guide.

Certified therapy animals visit patients at home. Few things reliably reach through advanced illness the way an animal does. These visits are among the most requested experiences our families ask us to continue.

Hearing assessment and support ensure patients can engage with their environment and their loved ones. Communication is care — and we protect it to the end.

Integrative approaches coordinated with the patient's clinical care team, addressing the whole person and not just the diagnosis. Our holistic practitioners work alongside the hospice clinical team to support comfort at every level.

A trained companion for the final passage — for both patient and family. Our doulas offer non-medical support: presence, guidance, legacy conversations and the steady holding of a process that medicine alone cannot fully accompany.
▸ ListenTibetan and crystal singing bowls produce sustained, resonant tones that fill the room and the body in equal measure. Patients often describe the experience as the deepest rest they have found.
Sessions are offered purely for relaxation and comfort, at the patient's pace.
Each journey is a layered soundscape — synthesized for preview and best experienced with headphones. Offered for relaxation and comfort, not as medical treatment. Visit the Sound Bath page →

The Medicare Hospice Benefit — explained, simply.
One of the most comprehensive healthcare benefits in the United States, and one of the least understood. Tap below for questions answered.
Medicare Part A generally covers most hospice services — including nursing visits, medications related to the terminal diagnosis, medical equipment, home health aide services, social work, chaplaincy and bereavement support — with generally little to no out-of-pocket cost for covered services. Limited copayments may apply in specific circumstances, including certain outpatient medications and respite care.
If your loved one has Medicare Part A and a physician's prognosis of six months or less, they are likely eligible for coverage. Our admissions team verifies eligibility, bills Medicare directly and works to prevent surprise costs for covered services.
Choosing hospice means focusing on comfort and quality of life rather than curative treatment for the terminal diagnosis. Far less changes than most families expect — conditions unrelated to the terminal diagnosis stay covered by Medicare Part B exactly as before.
| What We're Comparing | Standard Medicare | Medicare Hospice Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| Treatment goal | Curative / disease management | Comfort and quality of life |
| Medications | Part B / Part D | All terminal-related, delivered home |
| Equipment | Part B with copay | Covered; delivered to the home |
| Out-of-pocket | Deductibles and copays | Generally low or none for covered services |
| Non-terminal conditions | Covered as before | Still covered by Part B — no change |
No. There is no lifetime cap on Medicare hospice coverage. As long as your loved one continues to meet the eligibility criteria, coverage continues without interruption, as long as eligibility criteria are met.
First 90-Day Benefit Period
Covered from day one. Re-certification by the hospice physician and attending physician before the period ends.
Second 90-Day Benefit Period
Coverage continues, subject to re-certification. The same process applies.
Unlimited 60-Day Periods
Unlimited 60-day periods, each with re-certification. No total lifetime limit.
No lifetime limitWe accept Medicare, Medi-Cal, Kaiser Permanente, AltaMed and most private insurance plans through Letters of Agreement. Our team verifies your coverage same-day and handles all billing directly.
- Medicare Part A — covers most hospice services with generally little to no out-of-pocket cost
- Medicare Advantage (Part C) — equivalent coverage required by law
- Medi-Cal — covers hospice for eligible California residents; dual-eligible patients typically have little to no cost
- Kaiser Permanente — coordinated directly with Kaiser's hospice team
- AltaMed — Medi-Cal managed care accepted
- Private insurance — most major plans via Letter of Agreement

Aleksandra Dubina
Digital Business CardAleksandra Dubina founded Eternal Life Hospice from a place most administrators never reach: personal knowledge of what it means to sit at a loved one's side during the final chapter of their life.
Her grandmother passed on hospice. That experience — the profound relief of attentive, dignified end-of-life care — became the reason she entered this field, and the standard she sets for every member of her team.
As a young child, Aleksandra underwent open-heart surgery, brought to the United States for advanced care. Having once been the patient — wholly dependent on the skill and compassion of others — she leads with a rare understanding of what it means to be on the receiving end of care.
With more than two decades in healthcare — eleven of those years in hospice — and credentials as an ACHC Certified Consultant, she remains a hands-on administrator who knows every patient by name.

Answers to what families ask us most.
Hospice is appropriate when a physician determines a prognosis of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Many families wish they had started sooner — earlier enrollment means more time with comfort-focused, whole-person support. If you are wondering whether it is time, that wondering is often itself a sign it is worth a conversation.
Choosing hospice is choosing a different goal — comfort, dignity and quality of life over curative treatment for a terminal illness. It is a positive, active decision to live as fully and comfortably as possible. Hospice is also reversible: a patient may return to curative care at any time.
Wherever the patient calls home — a private residence, an assisted living facility, a skilled nursing facility or a memory care community. Our team comes to the patient. Care follows them wherever they are.
Often the same day. We offer same-day admissions when clinically appropriate and 24/7 on-call nursing. When you call, we begin verifying coverage and coordinating care immediately, so support is in place when your family needs it most.
Your care comes from an interdisciplinary team and most of it happens where the patient is. A registered nurse case manager leads day-to-day care, supported by a hospice physician, certified aides for personal care, a social worker, a chaplain or spiritual-care provider when wanted and trained volunteers. They visit on a schedule built around the patient. A nurse is reachable any hour of the day or night.
Support continues around the clock. A nurse is on call 24 hours a day, every day of the year. When you call, a real person answers and a clinician helps you through whatever is happening — including a visit to the home when one is needed.
Three things: we are independent and integrative. We may incorporate whole-person therapies into the care plan when requested and appropriate, at no additional expense to families. And we combine the clinical depth of a nationally accredited agency with a personal, human presence that larger institutional systems find difficult to offer.
Meaningful work, close to home.
